When Did Mandai North Crematorium Open?

Mandai North Crematorium began operations on 15 August 2025.

The facility was developed to expand Singapore’s cremation capacity and support future demand for after-death services.

Mandai North operates in tandem with the existing Mandai Crematorium rather than replacing it.

The crematorium was designed to house six service halls with viewing and transfer areas and up to 18 cremators.

When operations began in August 2025, three service halls and nine cremators were initially equipped. NEA stated that the remaining facilities would be fitted out progressively according to demand.

How to Book a Cremation at Mandai North

Cremation bookings for Mandai North Crematorium are handled through the National Environment Agency.

Bookings for government-managed crematoria can be made through the NEA ePortal, by telephone or in person at the relevant service counter.

Documents required for verification may include:

• Digital death certificate, Manual Confirmation of Death or accepted hospital confirmation
• Permit to Cremate
• Identification documents of the next-of-kin and applicant

This is the government cremation fee itself and should not be confused with the total cost of a funeral or cremation package.
